Contacting Your "Warm Market"
About Your Business and Other Tips
How To Profit From Junk Mail The Postoffice Delivers
First, let's define what a "warm market" is and what a "cold market" is.
Your "warm market" includes all the people that you know by name and that recognize you when they see you. You know, people like your aunts, uncles, friends, brothers, sisters, cousins, day care providers, teachers, cashiers at your favorite grocery store, the person that changes your oil and maintains your vehicle, your child's physician, your physician, the person that cuts your hair, co-workers, etc.
Your "cold market" includes all the people that you don't know and they don't know you either. There's a lot of people like that. Did you know that there are over 6 billion people on this planet we call Earth? You may know 100 of them (your "warm market"); the rest of them are your "cold market". You can use online marketing, voice broadcast marketing and direct mail, printed flyers, etc. to get in touch with "cold market" prospects for your business.
With that being said, your "warm market" is typically who you want to introduce to your business first. Now, hold on... I know a lot of you are saying that you've tried this before and it doesn't work. Well, the business you were in before may not have been something your "warm market" was interested in doing (health and wellness, cosmetics, phone plans, travel, air filters, and the like). In the past, you were probably taught to call your "warm market" and invite them to a hotel meeting and be very secretive about what it is that you wanted them to go for. They may have already gone to one of those hotel meetings for air filters and that business turned them off and they have no desire to go to another one. Families are extremly busy, and asking your "warm market" to leave their house to go listen to someone else talk about YOUR opportunity is nonsense in my opinion. Yep. Nonsense.
GDI has spent A LOT of money producing movies that you can send your prospect to watch online in order to learn about your business. They have also provided a great tool in the back office of their members area called the 'Invite Tool'.
That's a great 'rejection-free' way of contacting your warm market!
Log in to your members area by clicking here.
Look on the left hand side and choose 'Invite'
- Enter the names and email address of the people you know.
- An invitation email will be sent to them with a link for them to watch your movie.
- GDI will continue to follow-up with them for you until they either join or un-subscribe from the newsletters.
Perhaps you don't want to send them an email using the Invite tool? Then, you are going to have to talk to them. Yep. Open your mouth and let a few words come out of it. :-)Talking to your "warm market" it's simple. Ask them if they'd be willing to watch a 7 minute movie so you can get their opinion about it. If they say they don't have 7 minutes, then just say 'OK' and move on. Because if they don't have 7 minutes to watch a movie that could potentially change their financial lives forever, then they don't deserve your opportunity (at least not right now....). Period.
How do you get them to watch your movie? Simple! Have them go here:http://website.ws/your-gdi-user-name
And, if you have your own domain name that is forwarded to that movie page, then give them your URL. Either way, the end-result is that they watch your movie. :-)
So, let's say Uncle Louie watched your movie and he comes back with all sorts of questions. Instead of you trying to be the "GDI Guru", just tell them that there's another movie he can watch that will answer ALL of his questions. Then, send him here:http://freedom.ws/your-gdi-username/show_dvd
If your warm market still has questions after watching both movies, I'll be very surprised. Usually, after watching the first movie they join for their 7-day trial and then they are exposed to our team training site (this very same one you are reading now). Then, they start getting enrollments into their business. They are happy that you told them about the business and they are excited about it because THEY made the decision for themselves instead of you dragging them all over town to some hyped-up hotel meeting. And you make money every time they enroll someone, too. That's leveraging your time!
Don't hype it up. There's no need to do that! Just have them watch your movie and get their opinion. If they say 'no thanks', then tell them to let you know when they change their mind. Because they will ask you about it again after they see your results. Your life will change and then they will see that their's can change, too.
People tend to need to see 'proof' that something works. Why? Because they are afraid. Fear is a great motivaor. Fear can motivate someone to do something they've never done before and fear can un-motivate someone because they think they'll fail. They give up on their dreams because they are unwilling to try in fear of failing. It's really sad.Like I've told my children over and over again.... you will NEVER fail if you just TRY.... and you'll never know if you can be successful until you just do it.
Yeah, yeah, yeah... I know a lot of you will not feel comfortable talking to your "warm market" about your business because you may have already gotten them involved in so many others you've tried that failed. That's OK. Eventually, your "warm market" will approach you and ask you how you managed to be able to buy a new car because they think they know your financial situation. Or, they'll ask you how you are able to afford to go to the beach for 2 weeks and stay at that expensive resort. They will start asking you questions about how you were able to do that... and you simply send them to your site to watch your movie (again).
You have to keep it simple. If you spend an hour talking about the business to them, then they will think that they will also have to be a "GDI Guru" and spend hours talking with their prospects. If they see that all they have to do is get people to watch the movie, well... most people can do that! You must keep it simple for yourself and for them.
There are many ways to market your business offline. There's Direct Mail campaigns, voice broadcast systems, etc. If you want to use a voice broadcast system, click here and then click the link at the top that reads 'Systems'.
Yes, the methods mentioned directly above cost money. If you don't have an extra dime to spare, there is a way to accomplish this. :-)
Want FREE POSTAGE?
I would imagine that you get a lot of 'junk' mail delivered to your home in magazines and various advertisements from big companies. Don't we all? Guess what... you can use that to your advantage!
Get the "postage paid" postcards out of magazines as well as the "postage paid" envelopes that are in your junk mail that the post office delivers to your house...take your flyers or business cards and put them in the envelopes or tape them to the back of the postage paid postcards and mail them back to those companies...the people that work for these companies are constantly looking for online businesses to get involved with.
Another thing you can do is go to your local book store (i.e., Borders, Books-A-Million or Barnes and Nobles) and look through their magazine racks while sipping on some coffee at the Starbucks, Joe Muggs or Seattle's Best Coffee shops that are located in those bookstores. Take all of the loose postage paid envelopes with you, and leave your flyers and business cards in the magazines and on the tables.
